PG&E Cuts Power to 500,000 in an Effort to Curb Wild Fires
In an effort to curb wildfires, Pacific Gas and Electric Company has cut power to more than 500,000 in the first phase of a public safety power shutoff. Strong winds up to 55MPH are expected to hit the bayside area and the outages are to prevent any wildfires that may be caused by downed power lines, etc. The blackouts have affected the following counties: Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shast
